The Edmonton Storm women’s tackle football team will be hosting four teams at Joe Clark Field during the 2012 Invitational pre-season kick off May 5.
Over 120 players from Calgary Rage, Lethbridge Steel, Sexsmith Sabres and Regina Riot will attend the kick off and play tackle football. Players range in age from 16 to 50, and while some will be playing their first season, others are seasoned players with seven seasons under their belts.
There will also be an identification camp on site for players to try out for the Canadian National Team to compete in the 2013 IFAF Women’s World Championship.
Edmonton Storm is part of the Western Women’s Canadian Football League, which includes six other teams from Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba.
